Dear Residents:

On November 24th, the province of Alberta announced further enhanced public health measures in response to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases. Rocky View County has been included with Calgary and surrounding areas. A full overview of these measures can be accessed here. Alberta has again declared a public health emergency.

Effective November 27, some businesses, including community centres have been mandated closed for in-person service to limit the amount of contact between people in the community. As result the EVRC Club House will be closed effective November 27, with staff working remotely whenever possible.  This also means all regularly scheduled fitness and art classes are cancelled at the clubhouse for the duration of these mandatory measures.

In addition, the following mandatory restrictions also come into effect on November 24th and will be in place for at least three weeks:

  • No indoor social gatherings in any setting
  • Outdoor gatherings max of 10
  • Weddings/funeral services max of 10, no receptions permitted
  • No festivals or events
  • Grades 7-12 at-home learning November 30-January 11
  • ESC-Grade 6 at-home learning after break until January 11
  • Working from home should be considered, where possible
  • Places of worship at 1/3 normal attendance with mandatory masking
  • Restricted access to some businesses starting November 27
  • Mandatory masking for indoor work places

What else you should do:

Albertans must continue following existing public health measures to keep everyone safe:

Please contact Autumn at administrationmanager@elbowvalley.org or Derek at operationsmanager@elbowvalley.org should you require any assistance during this period of closure.

Stay safe and stay well.
